J. Niall McGovern Prize Law Essay Competition
This law essay competition is named in honour of the Irish Maritime Law Association first President, a globally recognised expert in Maritime Law, who founded the Association in 1963, and who sadly passed away in 2014. Thanks to his energy and dedication, the Association’s contribution to the development of international maritime law has been altogether out of proportion to its size, enhancing Ireland’s status as a maritime state.
The competition is free to enter and open to all current undergraduates in any field of study at any third level institution on the island of Ireland and those who have graduated no earlier than 1st January 2014.
Entrants are invited to submit an essay with the following title:
“The development of modern law on maritime salvage and its fitness for purpose today”
Essays must be between 2,000 and 2,500 words in length.
Entries should be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org on or before the 28th of February 2015.
See mcgovernprize.ie for full details.
