9.0 PUBLIC INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION

Public information refers to the information that the King’s Inns communicates and publishes about our activities, including our education and training programmes.  It includes information about the about the history of King’s Inns, member services and the Society, the barrister profession, news and events, our awards, governance and management of King’s Inns and quality assurance policies and procedures.

9.1 Public information

King’s Inns is committed to providing clear, accurate, up to date and accessible information to current and prospective learners, graduates, members, the public and other stakeholders. This commitment is set out in our Public Information and Communication Policy. (hyperlink) Our quality assurance policies are published on the website and are available on the virtual learning environment (VLE), Moodle.

9.2 Learner information

King’s Inns is committed to providing prospective and current learners with honest, transparent, up to date and accurate information about our education and training programmes, learner supports and resources.  We use a variety of methods to publish information on programmes and awards, including the website and social media platforms.  

The QA section of the King’s Inns website includes quick links to policies, procedures and forms that are particularly relevant to learners, e.g., learner complaints procedure, appeals process and forms and the student code of conduct. 

9.3 Publication of quality assurance evaluation reports

King’s Inns is committed to transparency regarding the findings of independent quality assurance evaluations and is committed to publishing such reports on the website and, where appropriate, a quality improvement plan.
