Member’s Parking – Barristers and Students

Please note this parking page is for King’s Inns members (barristers and students). If you are not a member of King’s Inns and would like to use the car park facilities, please contact David Curran on david.curran@kingsinns.ie.

Car spaces are allocated on 1 of October of each year on a first come first serve basis. Your chosen space cannot be secured without payment through the online system. Once you process your payment, King’s Inns will confirm your allocated space to you. 

Unfortunately, no paper or over the phone bookings and payments can be accepted. 

General Car Park Terms and Conditions 

  • King’s Inns car park is a private car park and is secured on behalf of the Society by an outside security firm. 
  • In renting a parking space at King’s Inns, you agree to the below terms and conditions.
  • By booking a space below, you are not guaranteed to be allocated your chosen space. King’s Inns will confirm your allocation once payment has been fully processed.
  • The car park is opened from 7am to 9pm Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday opening is dependant on King’s Inns academic program. Please note opening hours will change throughout the year to reflect the academic and legal year. You will be notified in advance of these changes via email.
  • Wheel clamping is in operation at King’s Inns. Cars that do not display a current valid parking permit at all times will be clamped without any warning. Regular checks are carried out in the car park. The removal of a clamp costs €100 and must be paid in full before clamp can be removed. 
  • King’s Inns does not accept responsibility or liability for any accident, loss or damage to persons, vehicles, accessories or contents, however caused, while parked or moving on the property of the Society.
  • The occupier of these premises, pursuant to section 5 of the Occupiers’s Liability Act 1995, hereby EXCLUDES the duty of care otherwise afforded to visitors under the said Act.
  • Please notify us, if you change your car and we will issue you with a new parking permit. Failure to do so, may result in your car being clamped.
  • Overnight parking is not permitted, as there is no facility to monitor the car park overnight once our security company locks the park. Any cars left in the car park will be clamped.
  • If you arrive after the car park is closed and you ring the security company to open the car park to get your car out, you will be liable for all the associated costs. 
  • Parking at the front of the King’s Inns Main Building (piazza) is not permitted and only available for day visitors and students on the part–time Advanced Diploma courses ONLY. 
  • King’s Inns will store your contact and car registration details on our secure servers for one year only. During the term, King’s Inns reserves the right to contact you directly about parking and any issues or updates that might come up around access. 

Part Time Parking (students only)

  • With part time parking, King’s Inns will allocate a space to you after payment is processed. 
  • All part time parking permits allow a student to park in the numbered spaces in the main car park from 4.30pm onwards Monday to Friday.
  • Part–time parking permit holders are not permitted to park before 4.30pm in the King’s Inns car park. On street parking is available on Henrietta Street.
  • Only Degree and Diploma students who have an up to date parking permit may use the car park during examinations and at weekends. No alternative arrangements will be facilitated including for exams. Students who do not have a valid parking permit will be directed to on street and public car parks in the vicinity.

MOTOR BIKES / BICYCLES

All motor bikes and bicycles must be locked near the security hut within the King’s Inns car park. It is not permitted to chain your bike along the railings of the PRAI or any railings on Henrietta Street.

Car Parking Options

Option 1 – FullTime Parking (Barristers) - €861.00

  • By renting a car park space, you agree to the above terms and conditions. 
  • Use of car park is from 1 October 2019 to 30 September 2020. 
  • Opening times is from 7am to 9pm Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday opening is dependant on King’s Inns academic program. Please note opening hours will change throughout the year to reflect the academic and legal year. You will be notified in advance of these changes via email. 
  • Your chosen space will only be confirmed by King’s Inns after payment is processed. 
  • Fee – €861.00 (700.00 plus vat at 23%)
  • An annual parking disc will be posted out to the address provided. 

Purchase

Option 2 – FullTime Parking (Students) - €861.00

  • By renting a car park space, you agree to the above terms and conditions. 
  • Use of car park is from 1 October 2019 to 30 September 2020. 
  • Opening times is from 7am to 9pm Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday opening is dependant on King’s Inns academic program. Please note opening hours will change throughout the year to reflect the academic and legal year. You will be notified in advance of these changes via email.
  • Your chosen space will only be confirmed by King’s Inns after payment is processed. 
  • Fee – €861.00 (700.00 plus vat at 23%)
  • An annual parking disc will be posted out to the address provided. 

Purchase

Option 3 – Part Time Parking (Students) - €250.00

  • By renting a car park space, you agree to the above terms and conditions. 
  • Use of car park is from 16 September 2019 to 30 May 2020 (academic term only). 
  • You can only use the carpark after 4.30pm to 9pm Monday to Friday. Please note opening hours will change throughout the year to reflect the academic and legal year. You will be notified in advance of these changes via email.
  • Students can use the car park at weekends for tutorials only.
  • King’s Inns will allocate a space to you after payment is processed. 
  • Fee – €250.00 (VAT at 0%)
  • A parking disc for the academic year will be posted out to the address provided.
