Launching your EU Career: Traineeship opportunities in the European Commission and the European Parliament

Are you considering a career in the EU and its institutions but don’t know where to start?

Join the first in a new series of EU jobs webinars on “Launching your EU Career: Traineeship opportunities in the European Commission and the European Parliament” at 13:00 CET (Brussels time) / 12:00 GMT (Irish time), on Monday 14 December 2020.

Register via Eventbrite here.

It is a great chance for students, graduates and professionals to learn more about traineeship opportunities available in the EU. These paid traineeships can be the start of a rewarding career within the EU institutions, or provide valuable experience that you can use for any future career path.

The EU Institutions offer the opportunity to pursue a rewarding international career in a uniquely multicultural and multilingual environment. As an EU trainee, you will gain a genuine insight into the decision–making process of the EU, have the chance to work on policy that has a real and meaningful impact on peoples’ lives, take on responsibilities from day one and make friendships for life.

During the webinar, you will hear from Sally–Ann Malone, former trainee and currently MEP assistant in the European Parliament, and Kate Moriarty, former trainee and currently Policy Officer in the European Commission, about their experience, how the traineeship selection process works, what you need to apply and what Brussels has to offer. We will also present how the Department of Foreign Affairs can assist you in pursuing a career in the EU institutions following the end of your traineeship. There will be a Q&A session with the speakers at the end of the event and we will be happy to share any insights and respond to your questions.

To attend the event, please make sure to register before 11 am (CET / Brussels time), on Monday 14 December 2020. Upon registration, you will receive an email with the link to join the event on the day of the event.

The event will also include a video message to launch this exciting new webinar series from Thomas Byrne TD, Minister of State for European Affairs, and a message from Noelle O Connell, CEO European Movement Ireland who will speak about EM Ireland’s work.
