King’s Inns Christmas Carol Gathering in aid of the Capuchin Day Centre

King’s Inns Christmas Carol Gathering in aid of the Capuchin Day Centre

The students of King’s Inns will present their annual Christmas Carol Gathering in aid of the Capuchin Day Centre on Thursday, 16 December, at 4.30 pm.

The event will take place outside in the courtyard of King’s Inns – near the Dining Hall in the King’s Inns Park, Constitution Hill, Dublin 7.

Covid–19 guidelines will be followed at the time of the event.

Donations are accepted on the evening or through our iDonate page here.

The event

Coordinated by the Law Students’ Debating Society of Ireland (LSDSI), the Carol Service will hear from our annual choir as well as some singers and musicians.

The LSDSI have reached out to local performers and community groups who are delighted to participate in this year’s Carol Service at King’s Inns. So far, they have confirmed:

  • The SAOL Project: This fantastic initiative works with women in addiction and recovery. They have a choir called the SAOL Sisters who will be joining us for the evening. Learn more about this project here.
  • The Resistance Choir: Based locally, their ethos is ‘singing legendary songs of resistance with the hope of giving voice to the silenced, to raise awareness and to inspire others to join against social, cultural and economic injustices wherever they may be’.
  • Luke Clerkin: A singer/songwriter from Dublin, Luke has written songs on homelessness and will perform one of his songs ‘A hotel Room is not a Home’ – a very fitting performance for the evening.

All welcome

Students, members and alumni, plus friends and family are welcome to attend. Dress warm as this is an outdoor event.

This event is free to attend, but we ask you to consider donating to the Capuchin Day Centre – either on the evening or through the below iDonate link.
