King’s Inns Community – will you join us?

Part of our ON THE MOVE ‘Fitness Challenge’, King’s Inns is organising a walk at Phoenix Park on Sunday, 9 January 2022 from 11 am to circa 2 pm. Come and enjoy the breathtaking views of Ireland’s largest urban park.

Students, staff, members and alumni, plus friends and family are welcome to attend. Once registered, we will email you the meeting point a few days before the event takes place. 

Entry is free, but we would love if you would consider a small donation to the Capuchin Day Centre here.

About the ON THE MOVE Fitness Challenge

Late November, King’s Inns launched our annual ON THE MOVE ‘Fitness Challenge’ to encourage camaraderie while we continue to work, live, and learn through social distancing. Proceeds raised go to our nominated charity, the Capuchin Day Centre for the homeless.

Open to all fitness levels. Run, row, swim, cycle, walk, trot, or spin via wheelchair to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), Strasbourg, France This is not your usual fitness challenge – yes, there is a goal but it can be as competitive as you like…or not. The clue is in the name – we want people to move more, improve their mental and physical health, work with your teammates and have some FUN while building up the distance. The above are just suggestions on ways to get there. 

Everyone in our community – students, members, alumni, staff – can participate, plus friends and family. Mascots are welcome also! 

We have helped connect strangers to build teams. We have admired your photos of the great outdoors (see the thread #KITeamSpirit on Twitter). We have loved your inventive team names! 

Like last year, we have some great spot prizes to give away. It’s not too late to register a team and try to reach the target. Challenge is running until the end of January.
