Judicial Assistant Open Day

On Thursday, April 27, from 10 am to 2 pm, The Courts Service of Ireland is hosting an Open Day at King’s Inns for law students and recent graduates interested in becoming a Judicial Assistant.

The role of the Judicial Assistant is to assist a judge in carrying out their judicial function in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, and Circuit Court. This role is an incredible opportunity for graduates to acquire valuable experience and gain unparalleled exposure to the legal profession by working side by side with the Judiciary.

About the Open Day

  • Location: King’s Inns Dining Hall, Dublin 7 – access via King’s Inns Park on Constitution Hill
  • Time: 10 am to 2 pm 
  • Lunch will be provided

The Judicial Assistants Open Day promises to be an eventful day for students/graduates providing an excellent opportunity to network and learn about the Courts and the role of the Judicial Assistant. An exciting line–up of keynote speakers is organised, including members of the judiciary, and there will be ample opportunity for people to speak to the Courts Service team about the role and application process. 

You will finish the day with an optional tour and history of the Four Courts.

  • 10 am – Hear from members of the Judiciary and Judicial Assistants 
  • 11.30 am to 12 pm – Break
  • 12 pm – Hear from members of the Courts Service
  • 12.45 pm – Questions and Answers 
  • 1 pm to 2 pm – Lunch 
  • 2 pm to 3 pm – Tours of the Four Courts 

Who can attend?

Recent graduates and legal students in all years of university are invited to attend as while you might not be eligible to apply now. This may be something you are interested in pursuing in the future.
