Culture Night 2025 will take place on Friday, September 19. King’s Inns will open the doors of our Main Building for free guided tours of the great Georgian building. Details for Culture Night 2025 to be confirmed this summer.
Oíche Chultúir / Culture Night is a national moment, celebrating all that makes up the richness and diversity of Culture in Ireland today, connecting people to cultural activities locally and nationally and aims to open up pathways to ongoing engagement.
Based between Henrietta Street and Constitution Hill in Dublin 7, The Honorable Society of King’s Inns is an independent educational institution renowned for professional legal education and training. Established in 1541, King’s Inns is also Ireland’s Oldest School of Law and one of Ireland’s significant historical environments.
King’s Inns is a key example of Georgian architectural heritage, featuring in films and television series like Penny Dreadful, Ripper Street, and Ordinary Decent Criminal.
How to book a tour
Come visit and take a guided tour of their James Gandon designed Dining Hall, completed in 1806. Please note as King’s Inns is a period building, unfortunately it is not fully wheelchair accessible.
Tours will take place between 5pm to 9pm on the hour from 5pm to 8pm. Please book your spot below through Eventbrite. Each tour will take approximately 30 minutes. Visitors should register in the entrance hall of the main Dining Hall building in the King’s Inns Park 10 minutes before their tour is scheduled to begin.
Photographs will be allowed. No recordings permitted.

Join a Calligraphy Drop–In Workshop which will teach participants 18th Century Round Hand using sample text from Registry of Deeds archival documents. Learn about the type of equipment and working conditions which Registry of Deeds staff experienced in the 1700s. Also discover the historical and cultural significance of their records.

In a response to the lived experience of trauma, these artists have made work in the process of recovery and rehabilitation in Ireland, including while living in direct provision.
