The conference will take place on Thursday, November 6th, 2025, from 9am to 5pm. Designed for all graduates of the King's Inns who are practising barristers working outside the Law Library, either in public or private practice.
Registration starts at 9:00am with tea/coffee, followed by a welcome and opening address by The Hon Mr Justice Oisin Quinn at 9:30am. At 10am, Jim O'Callaghan TD, Minister for Justice will give an address.
The keynote speaker session will begin at 10:30am, with Mr Ruud van Herpen, Global Chief Legal Officer of Xebia Group.
A tea/coffee break will follow, with the conference continuing with a segment on the “Challenges faced by in-house counsel”, including providing independent-minded advice, displaying leadership, and managing conflict. This will include 15-minute presentations followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.
The afternoon sessions will include a regulatory update by the LSRA, a segment on AI & Legal Practice, and a discussion on professional ethics.
The day will conclude with a workshop, panel discussion, or fireside chat on health and wellbeing in the legal space.
