The Judicial Appointments Commission has received a request from the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration in accordance with the provisions of the Judicial Appointments Commission Act 2023 that the Commission recommend up to seven persons to permit the Government to appoint three persons to the Office of Judge of the Circuit Court for three anticipated vacancies.

Accordingly, the Application Process is now open.

The closing date for applications and reference(s) is 5pm on Thursday 27th November 2025.

Applicants must register, complete and submit their application through the online portal which can be accessed from the Commission’s website at www.judicialappointments.ie/Vacancies

Applicants are encouraged to contact their referee(s) as early as possible in the process to allow referees to have sufficient time to complete and submit the reference.
